For people aged 70 and over, living at home is now more accessible thanks to the monthly or annual reimbursement offered by Revenu Québec for expenses related to home services. This reimbursement will reach up to 40% by 2026. Improvement Of The Quebec Pension Plan
Gradual increase in pensions. Since 2019, a gradual increase in the Quebec Pension Plan (QPP) has been underway. Thanks to what is called the "supplemental plan," new retirees can benefit from an increased retirement pension, higher than in previous years and added to the basic income already provided by the QPP. This federal tax credit for seniors covers a portion of the expenses for renovations or modifications to the property to make it more suitable and safer. For the 2024 tax year, the amount of this Canadian tax credit can reach a total of $2,505.

Up to $800.44/month for seniors aged 75 and over. Depending on the person's age and the number of years of contributions, the maximum amounts received as an Old Age Security (OAS) pension can reach $727.67/month for seniors between the ages of 65 and 74; even up to $800.44/month for seniors aged 75 and over.

Credit Due To Age
Up to $8,396 if net income is less than $42,335. Applies directly to your annual income tax return, the age amount is a credit available to Canadians over the age of 65, whose net income is less than $98,309. If net income is less than $42,335, an amount of $8,396 can be entered on line 30100 of your tax return.
