Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose your services instead of hiring my own employees?
Amika offers comprehensive service management, including caregiver selection and training, scheduling, and quality monitoring. We also provide reliable coverage for replacements if necessary.
Do you offer one-time or ongoing care?
Both options are available depending on your needs, with a minimum frequency of once a week to be eligible for our services.
Do you accept the employment service check?
If you are eligible for the Voucher for Employment Services program, you can use it with us to get a reduced rate. By leveraging our large pool of Amika caregivers—qualified and experienced orderlies—we can quickly assign you the best people to help you at home. Amika plans visits with you and your loved ones and ensures that the number of weekly hours allocated per Voucher for Employment Services is well distributed so you can take full advantage of the program. Amika charges a minimum administration fee, which is the hourly rate less the hourly wage paid to the employee by the CLSC.
