Help with getting up and going to bed

Getting up and going to bed is a valuable aid for people who have difficulty getting out of bed or chair, whether due to reduced mobility, injury, or disability. Our team of Amika caregivers are trained in safe moving techniques and strive to improve our clients' quality of life by giving them the opportunity to start or end their day independently and with dignity.

Our Amika caregivers adapt to each individual, helping them maintain or increase their independence, whether through the use of a patient lift, a standing aid, a mechanized bed, a wheelchair, or a walker. Our approach is personalized and respectful of each individual's level of autonomy.

A bedtime or getting up session typically lasts 30 minutes to 1 hour. This service is often part of a more comprehensive home care program, which includes services such as help with dressing , personal hygiene , exercise and staying active support, and other household tasks such as mealtimes and light housekeeping . We also offer overnight supervision , if needed.
